Our Story

Postpartum depression and anxiety felt like being lost in a dense fog - disoriented, isolated, and struggling to see a way forward. It wasn’t just sadness; it was exhaustion, guilt, and the overwhelming weight of responsibilities we felt we should have been able to handle. We questioned ourselves daily, wondering if we would ever feel like ourselves again.

But the thing about fog is that it isn’t permanent. It shifts, it lifts, and even when it lingers, we learn how to move through it. Our journeys weren’t about waking up one day and suddenly feeling “fixed.” They were about learning to navigate, finding moments of clarity, and holding onto hope, even when the path was unclear.

We chose "Surviving the Fog" because that’s exactly what this journey felt like - survival. It wasn’t easy, and it took years of learning, unlearning, and giving ourselves the grace we deserved. And now, after making it through, we want to share our stories with those who might still be lost in it.

If you’re in the thick of it, please know this: You are not broken. You are not failing. You are not alone. The fog may feel heavy right now, but step by step, breath by breath, you will find your way through. And when you do, we hope you turn around and help someone else find their way too.

Our

Mission

At Surviving the Fog, we believe that postpartum and motherhood should never feel like a lonely journey. Our mission is to provide a supportive, judgment-free space where parents can find real stories, expert advice, and practical resources to navigate the highs and lows of this transformative experience. Whether you’re a new mom, a seasoned parent, or someone supporting a loved one, we’re here to offer guidance, reassurance, and community.

Our Vision

We envision a world where every parent - regardless of background, culture, or circumstance - feels seen, supported, and empowered. Parenthood is complex, and we strive to break the stigma surrounding postpartum struggles, mental health, and the challenges of raising a child. Through shared experiences and expert insights, we hope to build a global network of parents who uplift and inspire one another.
